Niece on Her Knees by Kris P. Kreme<\/p><\/div>\n

When Simone and Uncle Julian find themselves mostly alone walking an unusually chilly beach, her ranting frustrations about her Aunt being a bitch draw the interest of the only other man around.<\/p>\n

Julian has dealt with his wife since he married her, but Simone staying with them for the summer has seemingly created tensions none of them wanted. And when Simone says her Aunt would have been a bitch on the beach if she joined them, a chatty doctor finds the play on words amusing.<\/p>\n

Soon he has Simone and Julian seeing their issues from different perspectives, a literal Niece on her Knees… and being on her knees does bring certain ideas to mind.<\/p>\n

It’s a chilly day at the beach for Simone and the man her Aunt married, whose life she constantly nitpicks and complains about. But things are about to get quite heated in the sand after Simon and Uncle Julian meet a friendly talkative doctor taking his own relaxing day at the beach, a doctor with a knack for more than just wordplay.<\/p>\n

Despite the temperatures, Simone is fuming about Aunt Bitchy as she calls her, even making the comment had she joined them as planned she would have been a bitch on the beach. And that is when they hear the only other man around chuckling. Thinking he might be laughing at the two of them, Julian strikes up a conversation with the man, but Simone isn’t bothered by the man having overheard them.<\/p>\n

Visiting her Aunt and Uncle for the summer, Simone had hoped to have a fun time, visit the beach, enjoy herself. But if her Aunt hasn’t complained enough about Julian, she complains about her niece, even making a big deal about the one-piece swimsuit and jean shorts Simone has on. Having called her own husband Julian Jorts when he put his own, the two of them left to the beach on their own, but for Simone it’s not cooling off her frustrations.<\/p>\n

When the friendly man, calling himself simply Doc, mentions that it was Simone’s use of such a fitting alliteration and play on words bitch on the beach that amused him, she appreciates the comments, and so a friendly discussion of all the fun quirks in the English language are struck… such as when Doc suggests for a demonstration of such quirks for Simone to drop to her knees beside her uncle.<\/p>\n

As he points out, she’s now a Niece on her Knees, an amusing play of different words that sound so much the same. And as he also points out, from her knees offers a different perspective to look at the world, to vent her frustrations.<\/p>\n

Asking the two of them to look at not just their problems but each other, to use the different perspective to see things differently, Doc soon is stepping in himself to explain how this exercise can be beneficial. As he puts it, with Simone as she is, he sees a beautiful girl on her knees on a public beach… and a girl on her knees does tend to put notions into mind.<\/p>\n

But can they really vent their frustrations by looking at the world from different perspectives or is this chatty doctor merely using the play on words and Simone’s position on her knees to get Julian thinking of her in very different more desirable ways?<\/p>\n

Even Simone has to eventually admit that when one sees a girl like her on her knees beside a man, or two men, it does bring certain ideas to mind. The only question is whether this Konversation might take those ideas much further?<\/p>\n

Readers Choice Month gets downright whimsical with words, as a sandy Simone cools off by heating up with truly ful-filling results.<\/p>\n
