Traveling the world together was romantic until a fateful night a husband and wife got lost below the towering buildings of Japan. Returning to their hotel, a wrong turn leads into a futuristic sidewalk alley with fancy animated neon signs and video screens.
A SINteractive Gameplay Demonstration Walk, is what it’s called, and Mark and Alexis get the most immersive gaming experience ever… falling into the world of Super Bowser Bros, a dark apocalyptic looking land, a mossy valley between towering mountains, large pipes in the ground, and familiar looking yet perverted turtle dragon koopa creatures approaching.
Will they defeat the enemies and escape or will they defeat themselves?
Over 8,000 Words of Kreme!
It’s the name of gaming when gaming goes dark, and to begin the entire month dedicated to SINtendo, get ready for a game that just might seem familiar… but definitely is going dark!
Mark and his wife Alexis have been traveling the world together, doing things romantic and right, Mark says. But after a late night and a bit too much sake, Mark is more focused on his beautiful blonde wife in her sexy black dress… and not navigating the towering buildings of Japan, a mistake that just may have them both playing a game they never imagined, and yet one that seems so familiar.
Alexis has always been the most beautiful intelligent woman, the perfect one to hold Mark accountable and keep him on his toes. Likewise, Mark is the handsome respectful man with the boyish grin and no end of compliments, pointing out how everyone in Japan keeps admiring his gorgeous wife wherever they go. But after looking at each other a bit more than where they happen to be strolling on their way back to the hotel one night, they each suddenly find themselves on a sidewalk filled with neon signage and video screens.
While that might not be so strange, the fact the locals are not anywhere around, back at the entrance to this alley between buildings, definite shock in their eyes at the couple walking where they walk is unusual. All of Japan has seemed as hectically crowded as any big city, but this one sidewalk alley between towering buildings is oddly empty but for the two of them.
On one of the nearby video screens they read stylized English lettering, the only words they can read, and they are welcomed to the SINteractive Gameplay Demonstration Walk, whatever that may be.
Assuming it just to be another technological experience for tourists, they continue through the alley, figuring it comes out at the next street over and they can regain their bearings and find the hotel, Mark and Alexis soon are distracted by a blinding neon light nearby, and as curved video screens extend from the alley walls on either side of them, they get some gameplay footage and a name that at first seems vaguely familiar.
But this isn’t a game series about plumbers in a magical land of pipes and mushrooms. This seems to be a darker take on the whole series, and Mark naturally assumes it is just a new release, a new direction from the same company that made those other games. Unfortunately as disturbing as the gaming video might be, they’ve already triggered a SINteractive feature that quickly transports Mark and Alexis into a demonstration level of Super Bowser Bros. a platform puzzle game that will challenge their minds every bit as much as it corrupts them.
In a darkened world of towering cliffs and mossy ground with giant jutting pipes, will Mark and Alexis figure out what they have to do to escape this immersive madness? Will the growing army of turtle dragon koopa creatures continually jerk off until the valley floods? Or can they solve the puzzle of defeating the enemies and containing the growing threat?
Mark may have always been the good husband doing everything for his beautiful wife, but in this game, he might just be forced to do everything TO her in order to win. And just because winning returns the happy couple back to the real world, does that win come with real consequences neither will ever escape?
