Poking drives you Mad

Poking at Her by Kris P. Kreme

Poking at Her by Kris P. Kreme

On a stressful day for college girl Kylie, things are about to go from bad to worse to just plain weird.

Everyone seems to be poking at her, getting on her last nerve. And she has had enough after the lecherous professor she left a meeting with spent more time speaking to her boobs than her. But at least Kylie is heading home, an escape from being constantly poked at.

Or is it? Along the way she deals with more poking, from a campus cop leering at her, to a guy directing traffic on the way home being just as bad, everyone treating her as a thing and not a person.

But is that what Kylie is? Has she always been a thing… or did she just get poked too far, right into another dimension?

Kylie is a college student who has absolutely had it… on a day when everything and everyone seems to be somehow determined to bother her, to get on her last nerve… to poke at her, she has had it.

Slamming the door of her dorm room, only Kylie’s best friend and roommate Adrianne can possibly calm Kylie down, although even as she tries to make Kylie feel better, passing comments about how perfect Kylie’s boobs are aren’t helping and add to the poking Kylie has felt all day on a day that may only get worse as it continues.

The truth is, Kylie has dealt with the stares, the leers, the lecherous way her professor just granted an extension on an important paper by mostly speaking to her boobs. But she is done dealing with all the poking, especially guys who clearly only have one thing on their minds most of the time.

Adrianne isn’t helping as much as she might think when she also comments on Kylie’s twin brother Kyle, but then Adrianne does have a bit of a more carefree attitude about guys and sex. Still, like the good roommate and friend she is, Adrianne is calming Kylie down, especially since it’s break time, a much needed spring break where Kylie is heading home, the ultimate escape from people constantly poking at her.

Unfortunately for Kylie her day is just beginning and it is a day that will truly push her… quite possibly right out of her mind, her sanity… her reality? Whether it is the campus cop at her car when she goes to it, or the guy directing her onto a detour on the drive home, men seem to just keep poking at her with looks, with comments, with everything, and even upon arriving home, her brother is already making comments that poke at her.

But when Kylie starts being referred to as a thing… a literal thing and not a person, are these just more attempts to poke at her or is she really not the girl she always thought she was? Could Kylie really be a highly realistic robot? Or is this just another twist of the madness this March?
