In the tumultuous year of 1969, being a black man wasn’t easy… but that was the year a black boy named Angelo’s tale began.
On his eighteenth birthday, he was given the truth of an extra-dimensional heritage, the revelation of a power he has to shift reality around him once a day, by making a contradictory statement, a truth and yet not a truth, such as saying the dead battery in his old truck is fully charged.
But using that power corrupts everything around it in ways he will discover and learn to enjoy throughout the decades. A long flight in 1981, a roller rink in 1996, a home in 2020, just some of the chaotic times where Angelo corrupted the world into depravity using Factual Fiction.
Over 27,000 Words of Kreme!
They say every story can fit into just one of two categories, fact, or fiction, but one man whose life has already passed seven decades is about to share his own story, a powerful tale of Factual Fiction.
Get ready readers for the most epic of tales, as told by the man who lived them, a man named Angelo who is far more than he may ever seem, with an origin even perhaps further from the reality we all know and live in.
Angelo has traveled the world and seen many things, most of those things quite twisted and tumultuous, whether of his own doing or the way the world has become. And as he sits telling his life story to a couple he has met on vacation in 2025, come along and discover how it all began for a simple poor black boy named Angelo on the day of his eighteenth birthday back in 1969.
Working with his Pa, Gregory, a worn and wearied old black man of failing health who ran a garage fixing cars in a small rural town, Angelo never knew much about his mother, but what Pa told him. And he never could have imagined that the somewhat romantic-seeming way Pa talked was not fiction at all. His mother truly did leave the universe behind as she was in fact an extra-dimensional being of untold power… and on his eighteenth birthday some of that power was given to Angelo.
Presenting his son a box whose contents even Gregory didn’t know, Angelo would come to know his legacy from a mother even he still doesn’t truly understand. All he did understand was that on that day in 1969, upon opening that box, Angelo received a power which would grow throughout his life, throughout his uses of that power… an ability that would truly corrupt everything it touched in ways Angelo has come to enjoy as time passed by.
Told that he had the ability to shift reality, to literally speak a contradictory truth, a statement not true, but could be true, Angelo was too curious not to try it out. And in 1969 it all began with a rusted old red truck, one with a dead battery. Speaking as though what he said were true while knowing it wasn’t, Angelo changed reality for the first time… a small change with big consequences that day of his eighteenth birthday. He simply stated that the battery was fully charged… and with the depths of a vibrational tone beneath his voice even he doesn’t entirely know, the battery was fully charged.
But more than just a shift in reality, that truck battery never would die, never would drain, and everything powered by it held a slight corruption, the old truck radio only playing the most sensual sexual jazz style music from that day on. And as Angelo would discover that very day when a notoriously conservative and stuck up woman sat warming herself in his truck as he helped her on the side of the road shortly after, everyone who listened to that battery charged music would turn very quickly depraved and sexual.
Once a day he was told, make a contradictory statement and change the reality of the world around him, but over time and with practice, it went from once a day to once an hour, and in 1981, that was how Angelo found himself on a flight to Japan, looking like a teenager still, rather enjoyably shifting the reality of everyone on that plane in ways that defied every law of logic known to any of them.
By 1996 he had it down to once every ten minutes or so, and whether from the effects of all his own reality-altering influences, or just the corruption of becoming the powerful man he was meant to be, Angelo has begun enjoying the truly perverse, as he turns a retro-roller rink into a kinky strip club, shifting the reality of everyone in that place right along with it, much to their shock and soon arousal.
When 2020 came along, Angelo certainly never needed to worry about being sick, but he may already have been fairly sick in the head, playing games by going door to door, and using his enhanced once a minute reality shift powers to change anything and everything he liked about those stuck at home during the pandemic.
But Angelo’s tale is never truly done, merely shared now and then, the highlights of a life where he overcame judgment, overcame the assumptions one might make about him based on how he looked, and overcame the very limitations of a reality that has slowly crumbled into the sometimes gleefully perverse reality we all live in.
Fact, fiction, to Angelo, it’s all just Factual Fiction… 28,000 words of fresh Kreme for November!
