SINtendo This Game BLOWS! by Kris P. Kreme

After Bethany writes a brutal review of an upcoming SINtendo game too perverse to even publish the title of, she comes into work and finds that Grady, her boss, has been in a long meeting with two men in suits representing SINtendo. And while she wants to believe he would stand up for her as the only female gaming reviewer on staff, the pressure and power of SINtendo may be too much.

When they finally leave, he calls her into his office and says they came to an agreement, SINtendo actually agreeing to redo the game, to even rename it after her review… This Game Blows! And as strange as that may sound, Bethany is about to discover just how much this new game will truly involve her.

Bethany has gotten used to a certain amount of attention at the small gaming review company she works for. But the attention she gets after her latest review might not be the kind she ever wanted.

Walking in, Bethany isn’t surprised by Orlando and Dylan staring at her. They are both older men in an office with only the three of them and Grady, their boss. And while she, Orlando, and Dylan, each review games and write reviews, only Bethany wrote a hard-hitting, brutally truthful review about SINtendo’s latest game called This Game Blows!

With a title too perverse she couldn’t even mention it in the review, Bethany is more than proud of the media attention their company has already gotten for the published review. As she puts it, it’s about time someone told the blunt honest truth about the asshats that essentially promote rape or sexual assault in nearly all their games.

But Orlando and Dylan each point out that Grady has been in his office for hours, likely being given the riot act by two men in suits who showed up to discuss that review… men representing SINtendo, who they remind her has a lot of power, political and otherwise to really make them suffer for publishing such a review.

Bethany is annoyed, mostly at the idea that they shouldn’t bluntly point out how wrong SINtendo is in everything they produce, but also at her coworkers for not only seeming to take their side but in Dylan’s case, for just being a dirty old man who talks more to her legs, to her body, than to her about it.

After the men leave Grady’s office, he calls her in to discuss the reason for their visit, and wringing his hands nervously he explains, SINtendo offered to revamp the game, to actually release a different version based on Bethany’s review and everything she pointed out. The new game will only degrade one girl, not the countless customizable options originally intended… but is Bethany going to be that girl?

SINtendo September responds to a critical review, and like it or not, the reviewer might just be screwed either way.
