SINtendo Sci-fi is SWELL by Kris P. Kreme

Among the shadows of a lunar base hundreds of years in the future, a young woman named Echo searches for her past.

As she stealthily sneaks aboard a small scout ship among countless others, Echo intends to solve a very personal mystery, one locked within her own ancestry, locked away by her father who discovered something about their family heritage during a trip to the lifeless earth below.

Unexpected company in the form of two classmates is only the beginning of the unwanted Echo is about to unleash. A vault on earth contains SINtendo technology and is protected by something even more dangerous called a Booby Trapping.

Echo’s future may get more perverse thanks to her past.

The future may be intelligently regimented and maintained, but for twenty-seventh century girl Echo, the past is nothing short of fascinating. Unfortunately for this brilliantly brainy girl, a past she does not know may be coming back to haunt her in ways she can’t yet imagine as she goes on a quest to discover her very heritage.

Education was planned and controlled, food was artificially created in labs, and the sense of exploration and adventure seems all but lost to the masses now living on the moon long after earth was depleted of the resources that made it habitable. But Echo has a mystery on her hands, one she rebelliously intends to solve.

Her father is an explorer, one of the last in the modern lunar civilization they all know from birth. He has flown the scout ships that usually are used to venture across the lunar surface, but have no problem entering what remains of earth’s atmosphere and exploring the wreckage of a past most have chosen to ignore or forget.

Echo always believed that the future of humanity lay somewhere hidden within the past, that sense of passion, adventure, and discovery, and those are just some of the reasons she began looking into her own ancestry, her own lineage. But in doing so she discovered that documents about her own heritage had more than a few security blocks in place, and that Daddy seemed to have discovered something very specific to their particular family while on a run to earth. He’d done his absolute best to hide what he found out behind countless passwords, security protocols, and more.

Unfortunately for Echo, all adventures come with unexpected problems, and for her the first is the stowaways who followed her sneaking around at night, stealthily making her way on board a scout ship, taking off and leaving the lunar base.

Kimball and Ezra are boys from her grade at the education academy, and like so many unimaginative boys, they figured following an eighteen year old girl sneaking around may somehow lead to her taking off her clothes. But whatever their lacking imagination, Echo informs them they are now passengers on a real adventure, to earth, to a vault she discovered the location of, a vault holding the secrets of her own family past.

Knowing nothing more than the limited notations her father made in his discovery records, something about a technology called SINtendo, Echo has no idea what she is in for when they soar in low across the blackened cratered cities of earth, past the dusty lifeless landscape.

In the future, all things are regimented, including the human body, and fortunately for the three, they all have chips embedded within their necks that offer necessary protection enhancement against the lacking atmosphere… at least for the time they will be potentially exposed to it. And with the added tech visor Echo wears she will be able to monitor atmospherics, weather patterns, and more while babysitting the two stowaways to her secret mission of discovery.

What she never expects upon entering the old bank vault, most of the bank it was a part of completely destroyed, is that she would trigger a security alert… one put in place to protect discovery of what technology is stored in this vault, stored by an ancestor to Echo named Kevin.

As alarms go off, Echo finds herself unable to move, but more than just trapped as the blaring metallic voice explains… she is Booby Trapped. Threatened with expansion of mammary glands for failure to answer three tasked questions, Kimball and Ezra aren’t exactly motivated to help since they know exactly what mammary glands are. Luckily for Echo, the boys are so focused on the collection of ancient video games and systems the vault contains, they accidentally answer some of the tasked questions themselves, leaving her perhaps less freakishly top-heavy than she would have become on her own.

But who was this ancestor of hers named Kevin, why did her Daddy lock all information about this discovered vault of gaming technology away, and just who put the Booby Trapping in place? Find out as SINtendo September takes readers into the distant dystopian future where one brand of gaming is about to be reintroduced to a lunar living future as unprepared as Echo might be for all the adventurous action cumming her way.
