Time for Server 700 by Kris P. Kreme

June has jumped through time believing she could eventually stop. But so far, HE hasn’t let her. When she ends up near the remote server farm featured in the 700th Tale from the Kreme, she realizes she has an opportunity to really screw up HIS plans.

After all, the server farm is interviewing Server 700, Katie, an innocent girl about to become anything but innocent, and anything but a girl. And she will have access to EVERY Tale from the Kreme ever written.

But has June’s journey through time been anticipated, and will precautions taken keep June distracted for the entire year Katie’s story takes place? The answer may just be insanity… and only one knows the definition of that.

June has been traveling through time for what feels forever, spending more and more time in places she always believed were fiction, witnessing events she read about in various Tales from the Kreme. But she is starting to realize that maybe she doesn’t know what the purpose behind these time jumps really is… and it may have a lot more to do with her than she imagined.

Figuring out a new pattern, jumping past the Kreme of the Krop into milestone books, stories that celebrated major events in the history of the Kreme, June knows when she lands once again in a large tree that nearby, at the end of the one-lane road beneath that tree, she will find a place called the Sintrance Fields Server Farm.

Of course as much as June may have figured out, she hasn’t figured out any explanation for her random wardrobe changes with each time jump, all of them seeming to be pure amusement for HIM, the writer sending her hurtling through time. The skimpy string bikini she has on this time definitely supporting that thought.

Able to see the nearby ultra-modern private facility, June knows the girl getting out of her car and going in for what she believes is an interview has fallen into a trap. June is starting to wonder if she has as well.

Katie is there for what she thought would be a server position, but this is clearly no restaurant. Sintrance Fields Server Farm seems to be as far from a restaurant as she can get, a remote facility with quirky characters like Doctor Donnie, Drake Donkelaid or Donk as everyone calls him, and a hulking black man named Theo.

For June they definitely would seem familiar, but Katie has no clue as Doctor Donnie expresses how perfect a candidate she is to be the new server for a high-profile client whose fictional stories seem to possess a power unmatched by anything science has explained.

Meanwhile as Katie is getting closer and closer to accepting a position that will essentially leave her as little more than a pretty thing, holding the entirety of the Tales from the Kreme, releasing what are called creative juices through enjoyable means that can then be applied to all sorts of sordid twisted ideas and inventions… June is walking into the facility.

And while her string bikini certainly presents a somewhat shocking unexpected guest appearance to such a private remote facility, June may have been expected by someone this time.

Claiming she wants to apply for the same position as Katie, figuring she can completely ruin the milestone story that way, June puts on the charms for the entrance security officer, a man named Officer Darzula.

And while June may know the history of that name… is this really the man who will somehow become Doctor Darzula, even though this is many years after he first appeared in other Tales from the Kreme?

Time is fickle and so is June, but this time, keeping her distracted for over an entire year that the events of Server 700 took place may be downright insane. And if there is one who knows the definition of insanity… June is going to be spending a lot of time with him.

The story is starting to truly cum together, and the story is uniquely… June’s this year.
